⚡️
While filming the iconic film THE GREAT ESCAPE, Steve McQueen, his wife Neile McQueen, and their children stayed in a chalet in the village of Deining, about a 40-minute drive from the film studios in Geiselgasteig (Munich). It was a beautiful chalet in a rural, mountainous setting, chosen to comfortably accommodate the family during the months-long shoot.
⚡️
And it was here that the master photographer from Vienna; Leo Fuchs - who spent 20 years shooting some of the most moving and memorable images of ‘50s and ‘60s film icons – took this beautiful photo of Steve Mcqueen.
Steve utterly relaxed in zijn over the top cool witte leisure outfit. Check out the lederen slipperts and the golden chain verstopt in t weelderige borsthaar of The King of Cool.
⚡️
He lived his life at 100 miles an hour. Former Marine who was abandoned by his mother, Steve McQueen electrified international cinema with his memorable roles in The Magnificent Seven, The Thomas Crown Affair, The Great Escape and Bullitt. An irresistibly seductive speed freak, the best paid actor in the world during the 70s continues to fascinate with his dating life, but above all by his innate sense of style and his racy elegance.
⚡️
Photographer Leo Fuchs fantastically captures the inspiring appeal of the blue-eyed bad boy. What more can we want..?
